Chevrolet launched the seventh-generation Corvette (colloquially called C7) for the 2014 model year. Offered as a coupe and a convertible, it offered a more user-friendly interior, a sharper-looking exterior design, and, significantly, the then-new LT1 small-block V8. The Z06 model arrived for 2015 with a supercharged V8, carbon fiber body panels to keep weight in check, wider rear fenders, and several chassis upgrades.
